Sounds... interesting!
Let us know if you find more.

On our site, we had vBulletin installed, and for SEO, we installed vBSEO.

Sounds like a class that I took. It's worth the money if you can apply the knowledge. IMO most people in my class just wasted $2k.

Agree with Biophase that most of those classes are attended by a bunch of idiots on some company's dime just to get a certificate of completion. If you are attending on your own dime, you are more likely to pay attention -- but if they just read to you out of a book for 5 days, it could be a long 5 days.

The class I was in there were 7 people all taking the 5 day advanced class. I was the only one who had a website and knew enough about SEO to get anything out of the class. One other person had a business with a website and wanted to get ranked locally, he might have understood some of it but I don't think he knew how to apply it. The other 5 people didn't even have a website yet. These were the perpetual business class takers that take every class and never started anything.

During the class the teacher would ask for a student to volunteer their website for review. They would put the site on the screen and the teacher would go through the good and bad points of it. Guess what, they reviewed my sites everyday because nobody else had one. I was like WTF are you guys doing here? I was getting free SEO consulting! :)

At one point in class the teacher mentioned starting a wordpress blog because blogs are good in google's eyes and this dude asked if there were any wordpress classes available.

Looking at the syllabus the class looks exactly like the one I took. It's probably being taught by a former student or it could be the same group of SEO guys branching out locations.

I literally was able to implement everything that I learned the same night on my web sites (mostly because we discussed my site and MY keywords). The class helped me tremendously and actually paid for itself within a month. I actually used the knowledge from that class to consult for other businesses at $75/hr.

My advice to "internet" would be to take the 2 day beginner class, but only if you have a website to apply the knowledge. Else, why are you taking it??

Don't do it. It is retarded to get SEO certification. You'd be better off rank your site with the keyword "SEO".
