Ok so Im looking for some feedback on this idea.
I am thinking of selling one of my businesses in the first quarter of 2010. I built it from the ground up and its been about 2.5 years thus far. I have 12 employees working full time. Its a service type business and this year we will finish at about 1.4 million netting about 30-40k a month before taxes. There is 0 debt and everything is paid for as it is due. Its a cash flowing business and its easy for me to operate at this point. Its also fairly recession proof as it fills a need.
I have it set up so that I work about 3 hours a day 5 days a week in total effort, the rest of my time goes towards my other ventures currently. I have reverse engineered just about every area of it to get its performance where it is today. I feel that there is growing room for the future but at the expense of much more effort on my part.
So I am undecided on selling the business. I really need to part with it but cashing out and moving on to another project I want to develope sounds fun to me.
So what would you do? Sell it with a broker? List it yourself online? Keep it ugh..
