Hey guys,
First of all I would like to thank you to taking the time out of your busy lives to drop in on this thread. Hopefully we can all learn some lessons here.
I have always worked and traded my time for money.
10 months ago I said F it!
Let's take a risk and build a business. I called up my longtime friend and business partner and we borrowed 20k at 25% interest from his Mentor. We sought the services of a lawyer for the contract and for a renegotiation of a monthly indemnity I receive for life into a lump sum.
We took action on each process.
The business failed and the lawsuit failed. We owe our mentor 25k in 2 months.
We're both applying for loans at the bank to cover the staker.
I'm broke and my Personal Visa is maxed.
Halfway through this journey I picked up the Millionaire Fastlane and read it several times.
Following the commandments of CENTS I hatched a new plan and explained my newfound knowledge to my partner.
We're involved in this new process where we take daily action.
Our mentor owns several businesses, a millionaire, married and knows most of the powerful people in this city. He has great contacts and wants right of first refusal for any future deals my partner and I have.
The question is how do I clean up this situation we created prior to reading MJ's book?
My partner wants to pay back our staker on time no matter what. Whatever it takes. I even considered selling my body through webcam shows with my girlfriend to bring in income. I'm serious. He feels as if we miss the deadline we will disappoint the mentor and lose our contacts, his support and our momentum.
The way we see it we learnt the lesson and were going to pay for it.
Any advice is much appreciated.
