I started asking some friends that are involved in different industries problems that they face. Here are some issues they deal with.

These are all response from companies that are multi-million dollar businesses. The 1st text is from a friend in the produce distribution world, and the 2nd he is in the lighting business, and also in the music event business.

What kind of waste in the produce industry?

- waste of vegetables and fruits not sold?
- waste of packaging materials?
- waste of fertilizer and other materials needed to grow the products?

What are the problems with the rising freight costs exactly?

- fuel prices?
- taxes?

The produce problem is easy to solve.

Look at sales numbers for wholesale, retail, and restaurant operations, concerning produce bought. The overall number I believe I have heard is aboit 40% of all food harvested state side is wasted.

So, create a network of concentrated, local, growing spaces to meet demand and create a scarcity model until waste can be brought down close to zero as possible.

Freight eliminated. Fuel elinminated. Tax situation can be revisited to only be concerned in that city, maybe county, and at most the state.

Grow and shop local. Period.
