Hello, I appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this. I'm 17 and I want to start my own business dealing with clothing. I've recently started reselling clothes on Depop, I find old clothes and I bring them back to their proper condition then sell them. I've only made one sale so far and I've been trying to think of ways to put my page out there where people can see and be convinced that I'm a reliable seller. My original goal was to make one sale a month for 2020 but I've only made one sale for February, disappointing but I did what I could. But it's hard to get people to come across your page. I'm really trying to think of alternatives because I currently don't have a job and I'm low on funds. I can advertise but I don't know what to advertise and how much to invest in that (I also don't have a lot to invest). I want this business to grow and thrive. I'd be more than happy to receive feedback and advice.

Not In love with the idea of selling hats, just a thought.

The quickest way for you to grow would be to reach out to influencers and ask them to give you a shout-out in return for a % of the sale. Give that a try!

Start DMing people on IG, message people on Facebook that have big followings on their page, make them an offer they can't refuse.

I think typically people will want money from you upfront, but be a salesperson & convince them to share your pages/product for a % of sales instead.

I'm a hat guy, I have all kinds but personally, I wouldn't buy any of those. How did you wash them? It looks like it made the top weak. They do not appeal to me at all. I'd bet the only reason you sold the 1 piece is because it was a Coke piece.

Also, you said you was selling clothing, not hats. I don't really consider hats a part of clothing and I do not think hats is an easy & quick sale. You do realize that people have 2000+ things listed at all times in order to sell things..... right? You can't list 8 items and expect to sell much...... 800 would be a good start.

Send me a private message, I think I can lead you to someone that can maybe help you if you are really interested in reselling.

I did handwash the caps because they are delicate, everything else is new. I will message you.
