I voted for the first time today in the NI Election.

I didn't vote in the last UK Election in 2019 and swore I would never vote, but I decided to vote for the only NI party that was opposed to vax passports.

I have become everything I hated

I don’t know man… it’s something I do. Vote. I know my vote won’t save the world. But if everyone thought that way…
So I vote. And guess what, just this past local election in my municipality, I voted for our Mayor. She won by 3 votes. That triggered a re-count, and still won. So my vote and my wife’s made some difference.

I’m not even into politics, just need to know the powers that be for my business. Yet voting, I take it seriously.

We can agree to disagree.

I think it matters. Sure, you're just 1, but even 1 vote sends a message.

You didn't like that mandate. You voted against it. You were counted. You sent the message. I know it's not that satisfying, but it's the minimum. Now you can do whatever else you want to do too, like post political memes to 100k followers on instagram, lol.

Biggest problem some ideas face is that they dislike the system so much, they don't participate in it, guaranteeing failure.

I love me some man made lines on the ground that make living as hard as possible.

My wife and I want to live in Mexico half the year, and Canada for half the year. Give or take. We were thinking about driving our Mexican SUV home and using it for 6ish months, and then driving it back to our Mexican home. Being able to do this would allow me to bring some big kids stuff back to mexico, and some guitars and stuff.

Think its easy to figure out if this can be done? Nope, apparently not. Gotta keep those scary vehicles in their own imaginary areas of you are a resident of the other imaginary place. I wish we were a bunch of small city states who didn't have full control over people's lives and "property".

How much easier this would all be with access to private jets. Going through the poor person ways of doing things is such a pain in the a$$. Modern living is designed to keep you in one place, and doing one thing.

Ugh, back to the research section...

I’m casting my voot for @Mathuin on this one.

Voooting affirms that I’m just fine with the amount of power my candidate chooses to levy over me. When I vooted for Donald Trump (the first time around), and he proceeded to be a big government socialist, I felt sick that I stuck my stamp of approval on the scumbag. I literally affirmed the Republican level of taxation. I affirmed tariffs and barriers to free trade. I affirmed their versions of healthcare and gun control.

The second time aroooound I vooted for Jorgensen, which was a waste of my time. I affirmed some of her woke stuff. I even had her running mate, Spike Cohen, on my show.

I’ll never vooooooooooooooot again. I have come full circle. 18 year old me was stoked to pieces to voooooot for “McCain Palin 2008 WHEEEEEW fReeDoM.” It was childish and verging on violent of me. It was the same childish brainwashed crap that somehow got me excited for Mitt Romney. Mitt frickin Romney… If you’re excited by Mitt Romney, you have a lobotomy that can be seen from space.

My time is better spent on things that actually change my world, instead of everyone else’s. No one’s life ever got better because they devoooooted hours upon hours of their life to an R or D and tried with all their might to will a coin flip in their favor.

It’s the same coin. They all suck. I’m no longer going to affirm suckage unless someone pays me a consulting fee to do it. Even then, I will not vooot for a socialist and sticking to that principle crosses 99.8 percent of politicians off.

It is a new goal of mine at some point in my life to not know the name of a sitting president. That’s peak circle of influence vs concern. It’s sad that it’s probably the most lofty goal I have, and I have lofty ones.

my first time logging on here in months... i don't know if anyone cares but i've learn it's important to share regardless of what anyone thinks so...!
Thats right! No need to worry so much about what others think especially not to change what you want to do with your life

Facing addiction is no small win! It sounds like you’re finding your own process and doing a great job at following it despite so many distractions and pressures we all get from society to go in other directions. Well done!

Dont overthink the entitlement too much, instead overcome it. When you realize a weakness you have like that write it down and make a running list so your mind doesn’t have to keep track. Get 10 books on the subject and if that doesn’t work get 10 coaches or trainings and if that doesn’t work go on a 10 day fast etc. I wish I put in more work sooner to overcome things that could’ve taken me 5 years to overcome but took me 10 because I thought I didn’t have to put in too much work but learned that wasn’t the case the hard way

For the loneliness and feeling alone - get curious about days/weeks you don’t feel lonely and feel happy and what you did and start writing that down and do more of it. Is it going to a group workout class, coffee shops, reading, more time resting etc. For me it’s building friendships right now so I’m putting in the time to do that and it’s a huge time commitment that I didn’t want to take on but I know that it’s just going to be hard in the beginning and I’m clear it’s what I want/need to improve/be happier which makes managing it all easier when it gets hard and it’s helping me follow through vs give up like I used to

No I kind of agree with you actually. I just think voting is so easy that it’s not that bad. But I do agree the options all suck.

My voot was more of a "protest" vote on that one issue re vax passports. I still hate the party I voted for and all of their other manifesto pledges equate to 'stealing more and spending more.'

I will care about vooting again when I have enough wealth & connections to rig *cough* I mean 'influence' elections to ensure my puppet... wait no, I meant to say "preferred candidate" will have certain victory... in a free and fair election.

Why not make it your goal to help people, and to get paid helping people? “New ideas” and “shiny objects” suddenly don’t make sense.

Today I have to rant. So sick of these Covid restrictions.

I am supposed to fly home to my country, who requires a test before departure. Arrive in the airport at 6.20 pm, only to find out that the F*cking test center closed at 6 pm. Nowhere near enough to get a Covid test. This is a big airport. Don't make F*cking sense.

Stressed out about the situation I instantly try to book a flight for tomorrow. Some error happens and I try again. In my stress I somehow manage to book the expensive flight, only to realize that I have booked for the 28th of May, and not tomorrow (like wtf). And without refund or cancelation available and a customer service that don't reply, I had to splash out to buy a new ticket for tomorrow.

Sure, I am an idiot. But F*ck me I am so tired of Europe and it's Covid shit. In July they will introduce mandatory Covid passports again. This is not the Europe I grew up in. What a shit hole EU is trying to create.

Seriously? Why Europe is still mandating this shit. You people must be sick of this all crap. Our country loosened almost everything like we are not using masks now. In my city no one is tested positive (1 found yesterday, but thats it) for long time now,but maybe people are not getting tested who knows. Your situation is frustrating.

Most of Europe doesn't have these restrictions. I'm also not sure what you mean by the mandatory passports. You can fly unvaxinated without a test to most countries.

I think you should be okay if you just do a test. Just check up on it in time. Things change quickly.

Inside a lot of countries it looks like things have eased up, and also in regards to travel. But I am just waiting for the moment they active those restrictions again. No way they are scrapping it now.

That's great to hear. Unfortunately my lovely Portugal doesn't allow that. And met a couple who missed their flight to Spain because they couldn't find tests yesterday as well.

Here is the link I saw about the mandatory passports getting activated from 1st of July again. I sincerely hope that this is just fake news. That Ursula lady frightens the hell out of me though.

Shit. Sorry guys. Video is from 2021 I can see. Need to fact check better.

I still believe they will return with new restrictions on travel and life during the year. Hopefully Portugal will also end these stupid travel restrictions soon.

Oh right. Portugal and Spain are still full c19-retard but I'm not surprised based on what I saw there last year. They'll probably drop this soon if they don't want their more intelligent competitors in tourism (like Greece and Croatia) kill their tourism industry this summer.

Sincerely hope you are right. But yeah. It was only 2 weeks ago we finally could take of the masks inside shops etc. Still have to use them in the transport though. Such a contrast to spending the last 2 years in Sweden with absolute freedom.

Life's been pretty much completely back to normal in Poland since the end of March. Theoretically you should still wear a mask in a pharmacy, clinic, and a hospital but nobody cares.

Thankfully I can now go days without seeing a single facemask. But generally speaking, people in Poland weren't obedient during the entire pandemic. As much as I don't like certain aspects of Poland, I really liked the common sense and disobedience that people exhibited here. Meanwhile, my views on Spain and Portugal (and many other countries) have completely changed.

I think people in Eastern Europe are much more critical about their governments, than here in Western Europe. Also the fact that there are so many other difficulties, so Covid becomes secondary. Who cares about lockdowns, when you have to feed your family. No government in Eastern Europe is going to pay you enough money to stay home. Eastern Europe is king, and I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up there some day (again)!
