I dunno how to explain this, but I'll give it a go.
There is an internal resistance to being successful in anything.
You start off thinking "hey, can I really do this, is it ok?".
Then you succeed a little and think, "If I keep doing this, can I handle the pressure?".
Then you succeed a lot under pressure and you think "oh, I can do it, why am I worrying again?"
The fear is always there, to an extent... but it become easier once you know you've been under pressure and survived what everyone else fears.
In order to get past that initial resistance and progress into fearlessness, you need to know how to set up a tipping point, or create an edge, that you push yourself constantly towards. Once you reach that edge, keep parrying your doubts, and jostle yourself until you start losing your footing. once you start toppling off that edge, down the jagged hill below, it stings, but you "learn on the go" and lose the need for permission and allowances because, you are riding a beast and don't have time.

For me, I never knew how to create this edge in business
So I struggled, just doing small things, it was ookay... but just not great, you know?
Then I met this girl who was really similar to me, and she was like "go for it"
For soome reason, her saying that created the edge I needed to jump off of, and in that moment of decision I jumped.
I started upselling people like crazy, haha
I started asking people more questions about the things they needed and wanted to pay for (customers tell you what they will buy, just ask/listen)
I started keeping up with stragglers and being like "just checking in, here is the new plan" to hit them with spontaneous awesomeness (money spending is always an in the moment decision, even if it takes a long time to get there, in order to sell you wanna help people feel inspired in a genuine way)
I started NEEDLING IN on what the main point of what I was selling was
And I started obsessing over scaleability
It might not look like much, but if those things are combined with toppling over the edge of that internal resistance you had, it becomes like magic
And you sell
I find biz boring if I'm honest,
Even the cool, fun parts,
And the money after,
I always knew I would, so it made finding my own edge really hard,
The reason a girl telling me to "go and go now" worked, was I knew I was just TIRED of NOT doing it.
So I just leapt into action.
Do that, and you won't need to argue a million things in your head
You only need to argue one thing
"is it go time right now?"
And if it is, go go go.
Thats it friends
