Little something I started a couple weeks before Halloween and it got VERY good reactions.
I dressed up as a “mystical shaman” and wore one of those hooded robes, and a plain white mask.
Then sent up a cool black “gothic/occulat” style tent.
I then used a cool “mystical” accent along with speaking more “old style” English to sound cool.
I had a sign outside the tent promising a “mystical reading and energy healing” session. Along with a disclaimer that this is all for fun and just entertainment.
Once the group paid and stepped inside the tent what followed was half performance art and half live action show in which they were a participant in.
The tent was candle lit, had incense burning. There in the center was a table with a fancy looking black table cloth. On the table was a very old looking leather book with prop pages in called “spark paper” that makes a cool effect when you light it on fire.
There is also a cool looking small wooden chest that has tarot cards inside.
There is also a small cauldron.
Once they step in the act starts.
I talk about having to “cleanse their energy” so they don’t attract evil spirits and I light some sage and “waff” it around them.
I then tell them to take a seat and to pull out a match. I then have them repeat a small “incantation” with me and light the match. I then have them light a candle infront of them on the table. Again this has a story attached about how they are “embuing the area with your aura.” I say everything in a very poetic style in a cool mystical accent.
Then they sit and I do this whole performance and routine about having the spirits enfuse the chest and tarot cards. I get them involved by having them open the chest, handing me the cards, etc.
Then do a quick standard tarot reading that I just make up. It’s always something positive tho.
Then at the end I have another routine where they pick out a small tube stone and we join hands and have the spirts infuse the runes with good luck.
I then have them write some negative emotion they want to finally let go on the spark paper (which they don’t know isn’t regular paper) and have them place it in a cauldron and light it on fire.
It does its cool effect and I give some speech about how the spirits have seen fit to take care of it.
They then take their runes and leave.
People absolutely love this.
Problem is…. I have no idea how to scale this. Or even if it can be…
