Product idea - Dog water bottle (Pet industry)

Hi Fastlaners,

this is my very first post in the forum! Hoping to gain some thoughts/feedback on an idea that I have.

General intro:

• As of 2012 there have been 43.3 million US households owning a dog (with a total dog population of 69.9million)
• Considering the changes in lifestyle (especially in the last two years), I assume this number has increased significantly since 2012
• By being a dog owner myself I have come to recognize that there is certain amount of products needed to go about everyday life (from dog seat covers for the car, to dog bowls etc.)

Dog water bottle:

• Even despite our dog being on the smaller side in terms of size, he has been traveling with us everywhere
  • By doing so and especially during warmer months, we have developed the need for the following:
    • Product NEED: Carry on dog water bottle (with easy handling)
    • Product PURPOSE: Ensure hydration of our small one
• MARKET ENVIRONMENT: By checking Amazon, we came to realize there is a multitude of offers/sizes/shapes etc.

Missing features of current dog water bottle's:

• Staying cool - Compared to water bottles for humans (e.g. the ones from S'well), which are giving you access to cool water for up to 24hrs, there are almost no offers for dog water bottles like this
• Health - A stainless steel bottle for example (again the like the one's for humans) would be the easiest way to protect the health of your puppy (e.g. from leaching chemicals of plastic bottles)
• Environmentally friendly - Stainless Steel is the most recycled material on the planet. It should be our all goal to reduce plastic to the minimum. Unfortunately, most dog water bottles are made of plastic.
• Ease of comfort - By adding the above features, the goal would need to be to still have a one-hand watering experience
