newly formed 2k7 company has to file a form?

Do you have to file anything with the irs if you didn't make any transactions for 2k7 and formed at the very end of it... dec 20th to be exact?

Did you file your own corp papers? If not, ask the person who set it up when the first return is due.

If you did, check out the SS-4 response you got from the IRS when you applied for your EIN. You will see the form type and due date of the return on their response letter. (This is the letter that told you what your EIN was.)

That will tell you when they THINK you're going to file. If you've had no activity, technically you don't need to file. HOWEVER, if they think you should, I would file a 0 activity form just to avoid the nasty letters you're going to get if you don't.
