So I've been on here a while, tried and failed with a few products and decided it wasn't for me. I was talking with a friend the other day who I have been working for part time and who has just started his own security business. It's about 2 months old, he currently monitors 1 construction site. I mentioned to him I wanted to setup a business which offers a service instead of a product.
He mentioned why I don't I go into business with him? He has close to 3 years experience in the industry we are both early 20s and have the fire for it. He doesn't know anything about managing a business or even where to begin. He got the construction site because it's his brother-in-laws site.
We had a meeting yesterday and come to some arrangements, I've agreed to sort the business side (Chase down new clients, focus on expansion, you get the idea) While he manages the security side. He had business cards made up before he did anything else too.
We currently have 1 employee which is another school friend. We want to get to the stage where we just spend our days in the office and we send lads out to do the security of the sites (Yes, just like every company)
So a list of things I need to fire away at:
- Get a website up & running.
- Seek new clients
- Market
- Sort the financials.
Got some real motivation for this and the work starts tonight!
