My current Situation

Hello,

My name is David Schlotter. I am currently 15 and own my own import business.

After seeing the post by @MJ DeMarco for the meet up in Scottsdale AZ. I have a few questions that I need answered and opinions on.

Being only 15 and a young entrepreneur I have great hope to attend this event but, this event is in a casino and may have age restrictions. I have tried to find any age requirements that the facility may hold and have failed to do so. Any suggestions?

Next, if there happens to be no restriction on the age to enter the facility, I would like to know if there is any age requirements held by the group? I am really hoping this is not the case. I strongly feel that age should not
judge the ability or skill level of an individual.

I'm not too worried about the casino being a problem because it is a normal hotel too.... I am most worried about the fact that last year the age requirement was 18.

As far as I know the age is still 18 but I want to verify it because of how great the experience can/will be.

Hmmmm.All i can tell you is wait for them to confirm it in this thread.It's not like they will be taking shots so i wouldn't see a problem with it.

You can be in a casino/hotel when you're younger than 21, but you can't drink, gamble or stand behind other people and watch them gamble. I've been carded multiple times while watching others play Blackjack. I'm not sure about the event itself though.

I understand that portion of the hotel part - I believe it is like that in all casinos in the US.

Now, do you have any ideas on how I can find out if I will be able to make it into the event? From what I can tell, @MJ DeMarco doesn't doesn't receive PM's.

I have already confirmed that I will be able to get into the hotel but I an curious why I won't be able to get into the event.

To me it is discouraging.

Could be worse the Age restriction could be 65 and a decent 401K or Super Annuation as its known here in AUS

I wouldn't worry too much man at your age I was playing videogames, working at macdonalds and spending all my money on random crap. You are obviously quite mature for your age and congratz on already having a business running most 15 year olds I knew were too busy getting drunk, going after girls or tellin there mates how edgy they were for smoking a whole marijuana.

This isn't your typical seminar event or conference. People share intimate and raw details of their businesses. They may not be as forthcoming with minors in attendance. Also, the potential legal ramifications MJ would be exposed to make it a no brainer to have this age restriction.

I'm sorry but you must be at least 18 to attend the event. It is not negotiable or debatable.

David, if you stick around here for a few years, learn, read, share your exploits, I guarantee by the time you hit 18, you won't be attending the conference, you'll be speaking at it.

I understand. It makes sense now. I just wanted to know why in the first place.
