I'm shocked we don't already have a thread like this.

What are some [or all] of your favorite movies?

My favorite is probably Zoolander. Just flat out hysterical IMO. So many classic lines from it...

I like mostly comedy movies. A couple others would be the Ace Ventura movies, Wedding Crashers, 40 Year-Old Virgin. Plenty of others, too...

How's 'bout ya'll?

Almost any Quintin Taratino flick
Boondock Saints
Smoking Aces
The Godfather series
Bourne series

I could go on for a while, but you get the idea.

Ha. You're right, Zoolander is hilarious. "I was bulimic. You can read minds?!"

My favorite would have to be The Boondock Saints. or anything with Will Ferrell.

300 was fantastic. I haven't seen any of the Bourne movies, but one day, people from the crew came to my friend's house and requested to film a scene there. However, they wound up cutting that seen from the movie...it would've been in The Bourne Ultimatum. Would have been pretty awesome.

I spent 20+ years designing movie theaters. So I have--literally-- hundreds of favorites.

Fave directors are Frank Capra (Wonderful Life, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Meet John Doe, You Can't Take it With You, Mr Deeds Goes to Town) and Stanley Donen (Royal Wedding, Singin' in the Rain, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Funny Face . . . etc).

And Ridley Scott. . . and Michael Curtiz . . . and . . .

OK, I gotta get back to work. :)

I am a movie freak. love them. i always said if i could make money from movies i would.

anyhow depends on the mood:

example: this time of year starting in October I watch Horror. This year was House of 1000 corpses, devils rejects, halloween, friday the 13th, the new halloween in the theatre, and other recently released horrors.

the for the holidays i watch family man, xmas vacation, scrooged, and other must see holiday classics.

my son loves mickey - he calls him mimi so we've been watching a lot of the old xmas classics.

my favorites include Forrest Gump, Jurrasic Park, Blow, Goodfellas, Casino and too many to list.

We're also into seasons of shows like Friends, 24, Lost, Prison Break, and Sopranos. We watch these as I work on my laptop.

Comedies are the ones that i watch more than 20 times.

I've got to throw the Oceans movies in there too, I havent seen 13 though. Also bought Layer Cake at Best Buy but haven't watched it yet, I've been told I'll like it. And I can't wait for American Gang. to come out on DVD.

Oceans 11 was fantastic but I hated the 12th. I liked the 13th though.

Comedy really depends on your taste. Alot of people like more of the "scenario" type comedy movies like Chevy Chase's Vacation Series. I personally love all of Will Ferrell's movies. "Anchorman" is a modern day classic and is a legendary film. "Blades of Glory," "Old School," "A night at the Roxbury," and "Talladega Nights" were good Will Ferrell comedies, but nothing like Anchorman.

Zoolander wasn't bad but Ben Stiller gets old pretty quickly. And since its X Mas, what about Bad Santa?

We're watching "The Green Mile" in English class right now...

I don't quite understand the purpose, but I have no complaints! I'm usually half asleep anyway. She claims it's because it has "gothic elements" in it, and that's what we're learning about, but I think she just likes the movie. It's very good so far , though, and she's a great teacher.

Okay, after seeing Superbad 3x now, this would have to be added to my list. Absolutely hilarious. Jonah Hill and Michael Cera -- whom I have an uncanny resemblence to -- are both great in the movie, but their humor is very different. Evan (Michael Cera) is probably the most awkward character I've ever seen. Jonah Hill is just hilarious, as is McLovin'. Great, great movie.
