I just joined the forum yesterday and though I'd introduce myself.
I just finished reading the Millionaire Fastlane and thought it was great. Although I've read several other entrepreneurial/business books, this one struck closer to home. Especially questioning the typical advice given by slowlaners for building wealth. Also, the idea of going into business to create value instead of chasing money, is something I've been thinking about lately.
I'm 23 and in college, graduating in about a year with a bachelors in Accountancy. I have an internship with a well-known firm lined up and generally, things are looking pretty good. However, the last year I've been really thinking about what I truly want out of life. I don't want to be stuck in this giant hamster wheel with limited leverage, corporate BS, and bad trade-offs.
I plan on creating a business that brings value to the world. I don't have many ideas yet and to be honest, I'm a little unsure. I do like the idea of having a skill that can pay well, I just have to figure out how to create leverage with it.
All that aside, some of my hobbies include weightlifting, running, nutrition, reading, and spending time with my dog.
I don't have much to contribute yet, but I do hope to learn and discuss with some of you!
