Felicity was one of my favorite shows to watch in Gen X back in the day. I notice these days we don’t have a lot of family-oriented shows that teach things like our generation. The idea of writing in 2026, is shifting gears in a more positive direction.

I remember in 2014-2020 I was looking for quality fiction that taught social issues, social problems, and that provide the concept of Millionaire Fastlane principles.

We can write anything, just about everything, but the idea is the mental health of the readers. I believe censorship and freedom of speech are important. Fortunately, we’re seeing the aftermath of not paying attention to the message, the mission, and there always has been a diverse authorship and books through the centuries and decades.

By human nature, we’re going to display artwork, music, literature, the stages of becoming an artist from beginning, middle, and the end. We show the phases and stages, the growth, the heroine’s and hero’s journey. It goes with the past, present, and future of a character.

Little House on the Prairie was Gen X’s model of multiple books that made quality at the time in teaching us about family life.

With mental health issues being in the spotlight, it is teaching readers to live in a more positive direction, taking one through the process.

When books are banned, it’s usually because of social groups, social classes, and what is acceptable and not acceptable behavior or speech in a community.

Peaceful Warrior is one of those movies that can demonstrate an event can occur in our life, the character can go through a low point psychologically, the negative thoughts, the inner self-sabotage, the negative self-talk, and needing a mentor to direct the way, push them to move out of the funk, overcome their obstacles, face their fears, and beak down those walls they have self-created through their own imagination, the stories they create with negative thoughts.

Writing is influenced naturally by those who we surround ourselves at the time. Our artwork, or music can be. We can’t deny the human error, the negative polarity we all face, and then the positive side of recovery from addictions, from habitual patterns we create, and as they say, we love rags to riches story.

The point being the process for me was learning when we write, we might believe at the time depending on what age group we are certain thoughts. One of my first books I wrote as a young girl was about fashion statements, the brand, and the cliques in schools when I was in elementary class. Even as children, we knew what it was like to be bullied, those who felt the same, and who stood behind us as the misfits, the rebels, the genius, and the outcasts.

We usually hung out together, we stuck up for the underdogs, and seen as the troublemaker as Introverts or rebels, because we were already advocating for one another in the school system. The curiosity hit me this week if I wrote a book with those types of themes of Gen X, since we already see the generations sharing their point of their view and how they are different than us and we’re not the same on social media.

What we don’t know is what it’s like to walk in boomers’ shoes during their education, growing up, their stories of work, what they went through all the time. We don’t always know what Gen X did, Millennial’s, Gen Z, or Gen Alpha.

Since 2020, the younger generation has been pointing out the social issues and social problems and how it’s written in our literature. Leaving AI to create human experience, it takes away from the real deal, but in certain ways it weeds out the negative words or can point out what might not be appropriate for readers.

“I kissed dating goodbye” by Joshua Harris was prime example of a younger person writing a book that had to do with walking the faith, and realized in later years, it had a cause and effect on the inner psychology of being a Christian and the dating scene. I did read this book right before I met my ex-husband back in the day.

We talk about how we can have a million ideas we might think are great and wonderful at the time in innovation, entrepreneurship, but not all of them are good ideas to execute on for a positive outcome. It is a process. It is paying attention to what the audience is saying in reviews, and critics. I watched this with the opposite side with Ann Rice. I learned about blacklists in writers, bullying between authors, how in the author world, there was competition, and the whole idea was to get a group of people to gang up on an author who was becoming successful to knock out the competition.

In a more peaceful world, we value all authors. Millennials pointed out they could emotionally trigger everyone with words, and it didn’t matter if you had tattoos, if you have skulls, and teaching us it was a huge part of our imagination, what boomers instilled in Gen X through fear exposure.

Gen X is more about teaching the children to work as a team in a positive direction. We are the ones who teach the younger generations “Responsibility” and “Accountability”. We have a million stories of our own we’ve had to overcome. Adversity, obstacles, roadblocks, have always been a part of our lives. Without Gen X playing our part, it misses a whole generation’s wisdom, knowledge, and insight on how to navigate through life in a positive direction. M.J. and me are just showing the hero’s journey and heroine’s journey and the two different sides of the equation. The hero’s journey was first, and obviously he teaches the Heroine how to get through the same lessons, just not knowing it at the time 100%. Both of us may go through similar experiences in life, but have two different perspectives of the same process, but showing the Bible is correct. While we’re just friends and mentors and students, we both teach together from opposite ends of the spectrum and hitting the hockey puck back and forth 2014-2026.

Neither one of us is the enemy but works together towards the same goal to serve humanity naturally, organically, and getting the job done right on time. We don’t even talk to one another and just show up. It reminds me of this younger woman and guy I kept watching every year show up once and they didn’t talk to each other the rest of the year. They just would show up right on time to play their part for one day.

What we do now, I have no clue. We never do know. We just show up just like anyone else online or offline. Offline, I was mad when the best players were removed from my team and thinking they wouldn’t be back, but one of my favorite ones just returned.

I believe we seek to have those players on our team that we work well with and get the job done, and we get frustrated with the rookies, the new players, and must train them with patience, understanding, compassion, and empathy. We always have rookies joining the forum, and we always have retired players that contribute to what we need to raise the bar from time to time. We have players that are at different levels all the time and still must learn to move together as a team in the same direction to reach our goal.

We always want to belong. We all want to play our part. We are all leaders, but different types of leaders. We all have different talents, gifts, and may lose great team players by drafting them out to another team too soon. We might be moving too fast, with high expectations, not giving them a chance to get started. The forum is a great place, because rookies still have a chance to learn at their own pace. You seen Andy remind me of lesson in 2014 when I started the forum. Naturally, we can forget for a moment what we already learned but might need a reminder. The content we write now will be remixed on the Forum wall for future generations.

Building real wealth is family generational wealth that lasts for generations to come. We don’t have a lot of places where we get to learn everything we need to know about the process, the hero’s and the heroine’s journey, and lead futures generations to build a better society for the whole group.

While many faces come and go, naturally God knows who their team players are that get the job done. The whole team in every generation moves together in the same direction to build a better world. Fireproof your marriage, wasn’t just about being married to a guy. It was about being married to business, work, motherhood, and becoming responsible. I believe it’s just the concept of “Fireproof your team, business, teammates, and teach them to save lives no matter what job you do, school you go too, and if you don’t have the training, skills, and other team players, you can’t always get the job done. You leave no teammate behind is the philosophy in a fire.

Being raised by a fireman, he expects me to help teach others how to get out of emotional and mental fires. Obviously, I’m going through training, and I must laugh, because I remember the first woman that worked at the fire department, and they gave her all kinds of shit, to make her the best there was. Just like in the forum here, they did the same thing. I imagine will go through it again here. Just different this time. Different lessons, and my medical team said, Oxygen therapy. Obviously, fire woman needs Oxygen to breathe. Trees produce oxygen, and it’s all about life. So, eat a lot of life savers. Gen X always received a book of them every Christmas and a rainbow of flavors. Growing up around first responders, you only learn to save lives. You can’t do anything else but teach life and success.

So, obviously, M.J. isn’t done teaching me. God’s never done with you yet. A pastor once told me, any time you think you’ve arrived, you never have arrived. I was also told you, are always the student, and unlearn everything that isn’t working, and throw it in the trash.

Again, a reminder to Gen Z and Gen Alpha, please take out the trash. You always leave it behind.
