Truly never watched an Oprah show in my life as I was busy building a Technical Training business, downtown Toronto, except for when Eckhart Tolle was promoting his book, "A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose."

That was my introduction into Oprah's world.

I've heard about her when I started my personal development journey, heard clips from her shows and interviews, and admired her humble beginnings. After learning about her repeated childhood sexual assault by her 19-year old cousin, it broke my heart to know that so many innocent kids around the world are sexually assaulted, mostly by family.

Yes, Oprah could have taken a different road in life, being a victim, however, I was quite impressed to see how she used her negative experiences as fuel to become one of the greatest, iconic woman in the world.

With grit and perseverance, and most importantly, believing in herself, Oprah has risen as one of the most influential woman in the world, with a large fan-base, a net worth of $2.8 billion (as of 2023) and, she's a true Philanthropist at heart.
