Hey guys. So I know the forum doesn't give life advice, but I really need any insight I can get at this point.
As a quick summary of my last few weeks:
Quit ma software job to pursue mobile game development and entrepreneurship.
Produced a mobile game in under 2 weeks to test the waters.
Pulled an all nighter saturday and ended up talking to a Dev and learning a lot of the downsides.
Had an amazing B2B realization of a potential niche in the mobile world.
Beginning to get some great performance (ad $$$) on the game which was barely an effort.
I spent this week switching my goal from producing quick mobile games to working on a huge mobile ad platform. The mobile advertising market is already completely saturated, but I plan to attack it with a completely new approach. During the week, I've been receiving more and more hits on my mobile game and I'm becoming more and more confident that a 2-3 month game dev effort would yield a successful passive income.
So I'm left with two choices on how to spend my next three months:
1) Develop a new mobile ad network.
2) Develop a free mobile game.
I'm kind of working through this in my head while I type this all out haha, so I'll chart it.

Ironically, I'm looking at producing games as the "safe" route at this point. While an ad network would be much more challenging of a task, with more risk, it offers a much higher potential reward.
I have about a years worth of cash to fund my life till I get something rolling. I'm a dreamer and really, really, really want to shoot for the stars with a big service like the ad network. Producing a few games in a year could give me a base of passive income to fund a b2b startup, but the timing is crucial.
I'm leaning towards the ad network. It hits everything on the "fast lane" list, and really hasn't been done before. I've been trying to think of something that hasn't been done for a lonnggggg time.
SO, what do you guys think? Regardless, writing this thread was therapeutic for my thoughts haha.
Thanks everyone!
