I’ve been thinking a lot about mentorship lately.
Truth is that, I’ve never had a real mentor.
I’ve had coaches, partners, friends, podcasts, books and I’m grateful for all of it. But I’ve never had that one person who’s ahead of me, knows my blind spots, and is invested in my growth long-term.
And the older I get, the more I see the value in that.
I’m building businesses. Trying to be a better husband and father. Working toward big financial goals. Quitting bad habits. Leveling up spiritually and physically. There’s weight to that. Sometimes I wonder how much faster or more aligned I’d move with the right guidance.
It makes me ask a hard question..
Is it that I haven’t found a mentor Or is my vision not clear enough yet to attract one?
Maybe high-level mentors don’t attach themselves to vague goals. Maybe they’re drawn to clarity, conviction, and consistency.
Curious how others have found mentors.
Did you seek them out intentionally, or did they show up when you got sharper about where you were going?
