Is Ego a driver for success? Or a path to nothingness?
Great question and here's my $0.02 Rupees ;)

EGO serves us well when we can CONTROL it.

We need a bit of EGO to push us forward, growing, learning, daring, exploring ...

We also need humility to humble us ...

When we let EGO run amuck, that is, the need to show off, the need to prove, the need to be right, pig-headed, having expectations of others, judging, attaching emotions to the wrong things; that's "a teenage EGO," and as we mature with some tough life experiences, EGO should mature.

IMHO, we should use EGO to serve our higher purpose which adds value to mankind

A mature EGO is our goal
