Hi everyone,
My name is Lindon. I`m currently 20 years old and in university studying Occupational Therapy (OT). Right now I`m in my 3rd year, I finish in 4th year.
Long story short, this job involves helping people with activities of daily living that we normally take for granted. For example, If your working with a child who has autism, the goal you work on with that child may be emotional regulation or perhaps learning to independently tie shoe laces. If working in a hospital with a patient who has had a stroke and can no longer walk, your role in their rehabilitation will be helping them regain that skill. Right now, I`m causally working as an OT assistant which, is helped me gain some more experience before placement.
I have read Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted and have been inspired to make more income outside of regular work. When pursuing a business venture, I want to do it in the field of allied health, as I believe there are many needs in this area and most of my experience and knowledge is in this field.
I was making worksheets/activities for my OT assistant job and decided to put them up for sale. This was my first time getting to experience making and selling my own product and earning some money that wasn't a paycheck. Granted it wasn't a lot but, it has started to get the gears turning in my head.
