Glad to be here and looking forward to beginning my entrepreneurial journey in the fastlane. I read 'Millionaire Fastlane ' and 'Escape the Rat Race,' but somehow never finished 'Unscripted .' A few chapters into the book, MJ mentions folks who read the books, troll the forum, and can regurgitate the information verbatim, but never actually take any solid action (even if it means "failure" at first). I had a realization that this was the path I was traveling, and immediately decided that I didn't want to become one of these people. I want the fastlane life, even if it means falling down a few times.
Another realization I had is that I'm the type of person who is usually successful in everything I do because I refuse to quit and I have a "find a way or make one" mentality. Up to this point, these have only been applied towards my education and engineering career, but I realized that I could apply this towards being an entrepreneur too.
A bit about me: born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, lifelong learner and curious person, BS in civil engineering from ASU, have been working as a civil engineer for the last 7 years.
I will take the next few weeks to read through this forum and get some ideas of what I want to focus on. I'll start small and work my way up, learning as much as I can along the way.
In any case, I'm glad to be here and hope to learn as much as I can while taking action towards my goals.
