The book stated its better to take imperfect action than do nothing perfectly. Here's my go on taking some imperfect action.
Picked up the book because my wife and I started 75 hard in December. We both needed a reset to get our crap together, formulate plans, create process, and operate with intention. The summary of the book kinda mirrored the tone of the program - take responsibility and stop feeling sorry for yourself. I was not disappointed.
We are a family of 6, 4 kids (12 and under). Life has been an excuse not to do great things and we want to change that.
The back end of last year my wife made the decision to quit her job and go out on her own in the Functional Medicine world. She is good at what she does and worked for a successful and growing practice but it stole time. That weighed heavily on her decision to step out on her own.
Now i want to help her from becoming a slave to her own business, accelerate her growth, and be able to afford the time she wants to raise children and become an asset to our local community.
Her "why" is because she has something that people need - a effective, long term solution to addressing lifes common, under treated, over prescribed debilitating conditions. Her primary focus starting off will be one on one care and then expanding from there. I believe she can implement strategies from the fastlane that can expand on her why and i believe she has a fastlane approved reason for being in the business.
I want to use the knowledge gained in the book to apply the law of effection. To be able to (think outside the box) address the needs of people in their health journey on a much larger scale and to do it ethically/morally without compromise. I.e. not just slapping labels on supplements and selling them to make money like a lot of other health gurus.
I want to use the knowledge of the book to turn ourselves into efficient communicators working towards the same goals, willing to take the risks and put in the work required. We are operating on the same wave length but a lot of growth will be necessary for both of us.
This journey is the start, it is a big leap into financial uncertainty - having 4 active kids comes with a lot of financial responsibility. But showing them, not just telling them, to trust God, believe in yourself and invest in your success is gold for me.
It starts with trusting God for us, we know he has prepared us to grind and gain the massive amount of knowledge we don’t have and equipped us with the discipline to apply it!
End of ramble! Hope this community ends up being a tool for me. Here's to 2024!
