Hello all:
My name is Paul. I just turned 27, and I'm engaged to a beautiful girl whom I'll be marrying this year. It would be my distinct preference to have some inspiring business-related story to share with you all, but the truth of my path to finding this forum is probably the same as the majority of new members. Over the past six months, I've read every business and entrepreneurship-related book I could get my hands on, and came to respect and adopt a lot of the ideas put forward by Mr. Demarco in his works. I've contemplated some business ideas, and put some time into less fast-lane side hustles, but have not taken big action yet, and want to change that as soon as I possibly can. I feel the clock is ticking.
I work in healthcare IT and have experience with medical devices and hospital operations. This can be a really great breeding ground for new ventures and finding important unmet needs, but working in my capacity, it ends up being as "soul-crushing" as any other low-level white collar gig.
I'm looking for a way out, and I'm hoping this forum will help me on that path. Also hope my experience and perspective might be useful to others on here.
Cheers~
