Does anyone else have just incredibly intense fever dreams about their business? Im in software, and I honestly have dreams I can remember clear as day - trying to figure things out problems that don't even exist. I feel like I've worked 8 hours some mornings after waking up. Anyone else ever get this? How do you clear your mind for sleep?

I have a suggestion. Before you sleep, spend 5-10 minutes writing down (as they call it 'Journaling') everything on your mind in that current state.

Write down everything and anything (both positive and negative); it doesn't have to be coherent or make any logical sense. Just put it all out there, sort of like a mind dump. This helps me gain fresh prespectives and clarity, especially in the morning.

Thread title reminds me of... "stop dreaming and start doing".

I agree with Raaa, having a mind dump before going to bed is a great way to clear your mind.

If I may add, I suggest you pick up a book called " Feeling is the Secret" by Neville Goddard.

The feeling that you generate withing yourself before going to bed will carry on into your sleep, deep in your subconscious mind and will manifest itself the moment you wake up. If that doesent make any sense then FEEL the emotions of having already achieved all your goals and dreams and go to bed with that FEELING and you will wake up more motivated than ever.

You could also try using Binaural Beats for 10 minutes before going to bed to clear your mind or even some guided meditation?

Whatever it is you end up doing, I sincerely hope you will crush every single one of your dreams.

God bless !

I will try that tonight! I need a mind cleansing. Thanks!

As a coder your life is all logic gates and empirical evidence.

You need to adapt a hobby which can de-stress this side of your mind and body.

I suggest Ashtanga yoga which helps strengthen the body and mind while also delivering a social impact on an otherwise closet based coder ;-) or is that a bit auto-typical of your career ilk.

If your able you need to find a good Kineaseologist to help balance your mineral or vitamins deficiencies as this is also helping with the stress.

All of the above I have tried and tested and know emphatically that they work.

The mind dump is a great idea as it helps you find things you forgot you had already sorted.

The world is a big place and has a lot of interesting things in it other than stressing over leaving out a semicolon.

Don't forget to have fun.
