Hello guys,

Do you have any ideas how to make industrial paintshop - fastlane business?

Main business core - surface preparation, thermal spray and wet paint.
Customers - steel products manufacturers, engineering firms etc.
Mainly coated products - water hydro power plants piping and turbines, industrial constructions, technological parts, bridges etc.

Most of the products are bigger - lenght over 3 up to 25 metres. Not so many competitors has premises and equipment for these larger parts. This is the main advantage.

Now I am thinking what should be next step in development.

thanks for ideas.

Do you know who your competition is?
Where do your customers come from?
Locally? Or Nation-wide?

How do your customers find you?
Word of mouth? Does the company have a web presence?

Just some random thoughts.

I'm confused as to what you're looking for my friend...

More clients? More automation? More scale? Heck -
I'm not sure I even know what your business is... is it
an online business, local, or both?

Thank you for posts.

Ref AJ and Kung Fu Steve: I know my competition.
I have local customer, nation-wide and also some international.

goals: More scale and more international customers.

1) scale - I am working on it as I plan to extend our premises ( we focus on bigger steel parts - generally be out of th crowd - small parts can paint everyone)
2) I would like to have more international customers. mainly from Oil and Gas section and from machinery industry - train, space etc.

Problems:
1) transport costs. Customer (lets say from Germany) is not willing to send the steel constructions 500 kms far away because of transport cost.
2) margins
So I am trying to find some solution or ideas.
thank you, guys.
