Many people think of fate as something entirely out of their hands, a gift (or curse) given to them by destiny, Karma or something else. However, once you realize that you can - with your own actions - definitively determine your own outcomes in life, you realize that this power lies within you.

Your actions reflect a curious and active nature. Yet, as you admit, you have mastered nothing. I have no idea what your long-term goals are, so I can't tell you if martial arts, dance, photography and programming have anything to do with where you see yourself in 5 months, 5 years, and 5 decades from now.

They key to success, however you define it, is to put the Law of cause and effect to use in your life, in your daily actions. It basically comes down to the simple idea that you are responsible for the good and bad in your life. If you feel lost and confused, if you feel that you waste your time on frivolous activities, and if you find yourself acquiescing to your more impulsive and instinctual tastes, rather than rationally and efficiently pursuing your long-term strategic goals, then you have to look inside your own mind for the solution. It's not your parents; it's not your family; it's not your girlfriend; it's not your friends; it's not your mail man; it's not the people at work, or on your social media. It's you. That is a serious reality check (it was for me when it hit me not too long ago), and it's one you can cash. It's one you can cash once you 1) determine what your long-term goals are and 2) do whatever it takes to get there.

Cause and effect. In your own life, you have enacted several causes. Your actions - dancing, practicing photographs, applying your "interest" in reading to, well, reading - have produced precisely what you would logically expect. You are probably relatively good at dancing, taking photographs, etc. Judging from your avatar, you can probably have what you'd consider to be an "intelligent conversation" on many subjects. Perhaps you are even full of arcane anecdotes and little-known facts.

But how much money has that made you? At this point, neither of us is an @MJ DeMarco, who can turn the power of paragraphs into profit.

Focus on money actions. That's what my brother (also on the Fastlane) and I tell each other everyday. Focus on money actions.

Your actions in life will put you precisely where they should. A capricious mind, one that flits from this to that, mastering nothing, obtaining no real results in the end, ends up receiving precisely what it justly deserves. The voice that you hear telling you to change your actions (the same voice that compelled you to write the OP) knows of your higher power, your greater ability. It knows that you are fully capable of spending your time on perhaps less enjoyable (at least in the beginning), but much more profitable and productive (in the long run) activities.

I highly believe that fate is in our own hands. I believe that coincidences are universe's way of telling me: Come on a**hole, stop wasting your time, I'm showing you the path, now follow it.

I mastered nothing for one very simple reason: I lied to myself. I didn't do it on purpose. I just didn't know better. Realizing one thing after another is what led me to this forum. My path to happiness did not start when I joined this forum or read the book. It simply showed me that I am on the right path, now with new obstacles. I master nothing because I would love to know a lot of things, but the time I have says: Sorry bro, can't let you do that yet (and the other reason - for example, dance lessons are once in a week, with a group. It is slow paced and not personalized. I can't see my mistakes because nobody points them out, we are too much. I would have a personal trainer but it costs a lot). I mastered nothing because I was looking for a solution and I didn't find it elsewhere. It all comes with realization. The path that led me here is the same one which had the obstacles that showed what I really want to do and how I can do it. After figuring that out, I started putting all my efforts into college. I finished it even tho I was working 2 jobs at the same time (no I didn't sleep much). I believed in that. I wanted to go to the university. Then I stumbled upon TMF. I read it. It made me thinking. I couldn't find a job (lack of experience) even though I have a college degree. I read about business; it looked different that I thought. I took a break of this forum and everything. It was highly needed to regain focus. Too much new information. My opinions, my mindset, everything went into pieces. Then the bigger picture started appearing: Without starting a business, I will never have a life I want to have. That is the one and the only way. I really saw a path I need to take in order to get there. I just didn't know how. So one thing led to another once again and here I am asking for help in order to proceed. Now I know how to do it and I started doing it.
