Tnx a lot, but if u read the millioniare fast lane u'll recall that MJ DeMarco has warned us severally about investing ur % of ur income. That is just the "slowlane". Maybe I'll think about it

With all due respect, from what you’ve shared in this thread you have the attitude and action-taking of a sidewalker, so the slowlane may be an upgrade.

The point I was trying to get across is that it doesn’t look like the Fastlane was meant for you. It’s not for everyone and that’s okay.

Sounds like you thought it would more like

File>New>New App>Cool Game
Save As> My Project
???
Profit

Notice @BellaPippin's PS in her post - if you didn't translate it, here's a link to do so:

That is very unique and hilarious, @BellaPippin - thanks for that!

Buy the audio version and just plug in your car stereo when you drive... or turn on your computer and play it through there... I listen to books while I exercise, do household chores, do my bookkeeping, work, drive... you get the idea. I never think about the number of pages. My only concern is to keep something playing in the background or through my headphones most of the time. When I lose attention, I just back it up and listen to that part again. I listen to several books, lectures and/or podcasts per week -- all non-fiction. The world these days is rich with interesting stuff and I don't even have to go to the library anymore to hunt them down.
@WJK, great suggestion! I just switched from a job with no commute to being a real estate agent, and now I drive around all the time. I will do this.

A lot of people keep telling me to read the book twice. And now ur telling me this too? How about u? Have u read it more than once?

TMF is not a book that a person reads once. This is my textbook for LIFE.

Two weeks ago I needed to make a decision. I picked up TMF and flipped to the section on the Weighted Average Decision Matrix.

It's always within arms reach, because it's not a fiction book.

It's a reference manual for your life.

Because I don't enjoy it. I really hate it. I only did it so I could make a few million dollars but it's taking too much time, and it's difficult to process all that information in my brain

Honestly man, you already know enough. Don't go down the app store path. Use what you know about software dev to land a freelance contract building an MVP for someone else on the cheap. Then, hire someone offshore to do the development and manage them.

Learn how to write copy and sell your service.

If you try to make "millions" by building and launching various mobile apps to consumers, you're almost gambling. You're throwing apps at the wall to see what sticks. Not efficient considering each app will take 6-12 months to build.

Solve a business problem first, then sell it, then (hire someone else to) build the app. Not the other way around. Otherwise you'll get burnt out and quit. Wait, that already happened!

I've used the matrix several times too and it's been useful!

Thanks for telling us.

Here are some links that might help you.

Likewise, going to the gym 5X a week and getting fit is not for everyone.
Eating right 19 meals out of 21 isn't for everyone.
Doing the hard things when the hard things aren't easy isn't for everyone.
Giving up is easy which is why everyone resides there.

Mediocrity rests in the middle where most people are found.
Extraordinary results are on the outliers.

Good luck. There's no shame in admitting you're not suited to solve problems for life, an entrepreneurial career.

I'm in college. I wanted to create an Android app and make millions, but it's taking too much time so I feel like quitting or i'll wait until the future, if things don't work out or I hate my job
