I did a little research tonight and it appears that Union Bank of California is pretty solid. Their stock is close to the 52 week high. (Stock symbol: UB)

They aren't very big. They've been around a lot of years. They provide a lot of cash vault services for banks in California (like a mini-Mint/Federal Reserve).

Anyway, I have an account at WaMu and I'm pretty sure they are going to be disappearing in the near future so I was looking for another bank. Union Bank looks pretty good.
