I am currently in the process of building a small pcb product in a niche market. Talking to CrowdSupply if it makes sense to create a campaign there.
I am doing this to learn the process and not to get rich, yet

Now during development, I had another idea. I want to build my own smart scale without a cloud and targeted to Home Assistant users (popular home automation system).
I am happy to take an existing scale and just switch a few components. Just add my custom PCB that can be designed to the scale dimensions body and the sensors.
But I would have no idea whom to ask and where to look for if this is possible.
Can someone push me in the right direction?
I am researching a bit and did only find industrial scales from Bosch and alike.
