Saying you want to start a business and change your life while lying around and "preparing" is like standing at the edge of the swimming pool and saying you want to swim...

Reading books about swimming.

Cleaning your goggles.

Buying nice swimming shorts.

Looking around for the best pools in the neighbourhood.

Reading about other swimmers.

Asking or looking for a swimming coach or their advice.

Going to the gym to you can get fitter, so you can swim faster.

Telling others about your desire to swim.

Taking photos near the pool...

RIDICULOUS!

None of these actions is a substitute for getting in the pool!!!

They are secondary actions that can supplement and improve your experience in the pool.

Key-word: EXPERIENCE

You only have one problem...

That is taking the action you know is equivalent to getting into the pool and refusing to let that fear signal (which will arise) from dissuading you and pushing you back into the comfortable.

Let this be the post that pushes you to jump in...

Reading a forum about swimming full of other swimmers is still not a substitute for swimming yourself!

If you don’t have any concrete real world examples or experience to attach book knowledge to, it is very hard to retain that information.

Once you are in motion, and you begin seeking out knowledge that solves the immediate problems and challenges directly in front of you, the knowledge goes so much further and you constantly feel like you are leveling yourself up as you put the information into practice.

Reminds me when I played softball and we needed a "sub" because one of our regular players was out sick.

We asked this one guy to play because he was decked out in $1000s of gear; he had all the pro socks, shirts, expensive bats, etc....

But when it came time to play, the guy couldn't play at all. He couldn't throw and he couldn't bat.

It was freaking embarrassing.
