Reading books about swimming.
Cleaning your goggles.
Buying nice swimming shorts.
Looking around for the best pools in the neighbourhood.
Reading about other swimmers.
Asking or looking for a swimming coach or their advice.
Going to the gym to you can get fitter, so you can swim faster.
Telling others about your desire to swim.
Taking photos near the pool...
RIDICULOUS!
None of these actions is a substitute for getting in the pool!!!
They are secondary actions that can supplement and improve your experience in the pool.
Key-word: EXPERIENCE
You only have one problem...
That is taking the action you know is equivalent to getting into the pool and refusing to let that fear signal (which will arise) from dissuading you and pushing you back into the comfortable.
Let this be the post that pushes you to jump in...
Reading a forum about swimming full of other swimmers is still not a substitute for swimming yourself!
