I finally mustered up the courage to jump in to the deep end of the pool today, and it was freezing
. I committed to making forward progress on one of my business ideas that I had been procrastinating on. There was much fear energy that I was allowing to hold me back. I was always waiting for the perfect opportunity, or would scrap an idea if someone else was already doing it, there was always some excuse that I would come up with to not execute. Can we really expect the stars to align perfectly like in some movie? Finally overcoming this mentality, I scheduled a call with an software development company to turn my idea into reality. The call that I had with the product managers was brutal. I realized exactly where I had weaknesses. My idea wasn't concrete enough, and when they critical questions about my idea, I literally was stuttering. I didn't understand my idea as well as I thought I did, and it showed. After the call I had many doubts, fears, insecurities. Telling me that I'm not good enough, and that I should give up on my dreams and just work a 9-5. Yea...My mind needs a software update because the negative thinking it creates doesn't help. Anyways, I'm sharing this to motivate the guys who are still on edge and haven't starting making things happen. As Nike said: Just do it! Seriously. The only person holding you back is YOU. Keep going in spite of those negative emotions, they apart of the process. Best wishes
