Wow. 3.5 years. It feels like a lifetime.
Well I'm back.

Where'd I go? That's a story.
  • Upset hundreds of customers
  • Burned bridges and ruined reputation
  • Went blind for 3 months
  • Betrayed close friends
  • Lost every client
  • Went broke
  • Was threatened and smeared
  • Darknet
  • Left a toxic relationship
  • Did drugs
  • Wrote music
  • Reconnected with "the one that got away"
  • Got a job
  • Got a better job
  • Promoted to head of marketing at another job
  • Went blind a second time.
  • Got married to "the one that got away"
  • Kid due in December
  • Quit my job
  • Moved to Bali, Indonesia
It's REALLY only been 3.5 years? I've lived a life in those years.
So much more happened to me than I can even talk to you about. It's unfair to MJ, there isn't enough storage, I'd crash the servers.

Regardless: I'm a completely different person now.
The changes I've gone through were only possible due to the fires I've walked.

I once was cocky because I was smart.
Now I'm confident because I'm good.
I once was reckless because I was impatient
Now I'm aggressive because I'm motivated.
I once was dishonest because I wanted acceptance.
Now I'm sincere because I want respect.

Damn, how did you go blind? Sounds hella scary.

Retinal detachment.

Afterwards, with strong corrective lenses I was legally blind. With no corrective lenses I was blind in practice. Each episode lasted several months of mandated, face-down bedrest. It was a living nightmare.

I probably underwent 7 surgeries. My right eye is permanently ruined (distortion in the middle) and my left is permanently dilated (I look like a crazy person without sunglasses in the right light). But with corrective lenses I'm up to 20/20 vision in the left eye which is dope.

The crazy part is that there have been so many incidents throughout my life that the detachments could have come from anything. I have no memory of the detachment HAPPENING things just slowly got worse. No fun at all.

Wow, that’s something. I’m glad you’re alright!

This is an awesome quote.

It made me think of a recently famous motocross racer Marvin Musquin, who came to the US from France. When he was not winning, people were indifferent towards him. When he started showing good results, he started distorting the truth in interviews to please everybody. People started disliking him. He obviously lied on more than one occasion. People started hating him. If I only he realizes that he should be honest and sincere, then perhaps, after some time, he will gain American fans.

Start at the beginning my friend; Upset hundreds of customers. What happened!?

Welcome back. Looking forward to your updates. :)

Sounds like a hell of a ride.

What you up to now work wise?

Very good thread bro.

I feel a similar way, although minus the blindness, betrayal, etc.

I have a lifetimes worth of stories from the past six months alone, and I am a completely different person because of it.

Glad things are on track for you.
