Hi,
I read TMF book last year and have been reading this forum since but this is my first post. I love this forum and value the opinions of this community so hoping some folks won't mind giving me their opinion on my idea and more importantly how I can promote the business.
I plan on launching a lead generation website. Nothing innovative, it's insanely simple actually but I don't see anyone doing it right now quite exactly how I'd do it and I think I can add value. The website enables users to get quotes for screen (phone, tablet, TV, etc) repairs from companies in their local area. Value for the user is the saving of time from having to call around multiple companies plus confidence that the companies we recommend are reputable and trusted, Value for repair companies is leads from people who need a repair in their local area. I'd set a small charge per lead for the repair companies. It's a basic concept I know, but I searched for this myself when I had a broken iPad and couldn't find anything like it so though I could make one myself.
I can set the website up relatively easily. I'm confident I can get repair companies to sign up. And I'm confident that enough people would use the service if they were aware of it. But how would you promote the website? Here are my initial thoughts...
1) Google and Bing Ads- I will run PPC campaigns but the cost per click for my potential keywords may make it difficult to get a good ROI. But I'll give it a go and refine as I progress.
2) Social Media - I can set up Social Media accounts but I'm struggling to see how I could build a community by adding value without just spamming about the service.
I'm sure there are tons of ways I could promote the service but I'm struggling to think of them. Do you guys have any thoughts or advice? Anyone done something like this before and have any learnings to share?
Any thoughts or feedback on the idea or promotion of it would be appreciated.
Thanks!
