How to note ideas during date?

But what if one needs to write down an idea before forgetting it?

A couple glasses of wine later, go home and get laid. You’ll never forget the idea, and sharing it with someone as unbiased as a date you barely know will get you the most honest feedback possible, and/or a potential business partner and soulmate who is as ambitious as you.

Or they could steal your idea, but don’t overthink it.

Is this a real concern you have?

Are you actually prepping for a date and you're concerned you're going to be rude?

Or is this just a 'thought' that popped into your head when showering?


If you really think of a great idea, excuse yourself to the restroom and put it on your phone. Wait for him/her to go to the restroom and put it on your phone. Apologize and scribble it down anyway (as LateBloomer recommended).

Haha everyone is flagging this thread for landfill. But yeah that idea you have on a date of all things you could be doing is probably not that life changing that you have to pause everything and write it down. Don't be that guy.

I know this is a joke thread but this is what mnemonic devices are for.

Associate the idea with your date's face, name, etc. and you'll be able to easily recall the idea when you get home.

If I was in this situation a simple "excuse me i just need to write down a reminder for something i forgot to do" and make a quick note on my phone would suffice.. Then make sure attention is back on date and be engaging create movement so that the last couple seconds is forgotten

When I was dating I would actually first start to get annoyed every time I met a woman that was wrong for MANY reasons. Then, I started looking at every date as an experience to learn something. For example, I went out with a dental hygenist years ago and she was awful! But, I was able to get some information regarding teeth cleaning!

So, kill 2 birds w/ 1 one stone, get laid and learn something (hopefully a business idea)
