I've posted a job ad on a Filipino Job Ad site looking for a VA that would work for $400/mo (40 hours a week).

I received 50+ applicants and I'll be going through them.

The role is for someone to be a Chat Support Specialist for inbound leads to convince them to book an Appointment via messenger.

Looking for someone with perfect Written English and experience.

I'll admit... the first 7 applicants all had experience - BUT they didn't have great English (from a sentence structuring/wording point of view). Good English has been the issue so far.

Has anyone ever hired an Overseas VA w/Good English and do you have any tips? (Eg. hiring, training, onboarding, etc)

I hired an HR manager with 18 years of experience because of exactly that. Now every interview I get on is with qualified individuals for the role we need filled. It got so efficient now we're offering managed VA services to others.

Long gone are the days of sorting through hundreds of trash resumes who aren't qualified for the roles.

Then of course good onboarding, training procedures post hire come into play.

For our setup, we have a list of about 150 scenarios the VA would encounter on the phone or in chat that we then create bridges for to transition to calls with our account executives. Makes the job easy.

For hiring VA, it is important to have detailed SOPs that the VA can follow.

In the start, the VA will need to be much handholding. Start with small tasks and based on their performance keep increasing the complexity of tasks.

In your case, you will have to create some basic templates that the VA can follow for chatting or you can share with the VA past examples of your chat.

Don't expect to hire the perfect VA on the first attempt. There will be much trial and error before you will have an efficient system.

Regards.

P.S: I also work as VA. I can help you. If interested, contact me.

I ask 10 of them to complete a task.

Depending on who does it best, fastest and responds to my messages quickest, I will hire 1 or 2 of them.

If there is no quality applicant you might need to consider to increase the pay.

There is abundance of Philippines who can write and speak English well.

Hello @GetShitDone
I think I am fit for the position you require a VA for. And I'll gladly work 40 Hours weekly for $400 a month. I have 18 months experience working as VA for an agency. With your permission, I'll forward my skill set and application to your inbox. And I'm willing to work 8 Hours FREE as trial.
Warm regards :smile2:
