How to Become a Rock Star

Jonathan Coulton went from being just another "code monkey" to the Godfather of "Geek Rock." Here’s how he did it.

I think there are just too many important personality treats we want to be aware of in this article.

"I have known some bitter people in my life who never did what they wanted to do, and I didn't wanna be that person." — Jonathan Coulton

'Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses, driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat
And we'll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger's
Gonna wind up there
Every Playboy bunny
With her bleach blonde hair
And well...

Hey, hey, I wanna be a rockstar
Hey, hey, I wanna be a rockstar

Cool link... I love that when his daughter was born he decided he didn't want to be a role model of "someone who stayed in a job that they didn't like" and that helped him quit his job to pursue the music.

Lot's of people would have seen the extra responsibility of having a baby to take care of, as even more pressure to stay in a job they didn't get any satisfaction from.

I noticed the same thing, Jon. I am still not sure if he really did what he said or just had a mid-life crisis and acted upon it, but in any case he made his dream happen.
And thanks guys for the Rep
