I actually celebrated and took my friends out to dinner when I went over a liquid net worth of $1M (cash/short-term investments), however at the time, my net worth at the time was probably around $4 or $5M.

It feels great, but not the event itself, the process. But my first $100K also felt great, as well as 900K, 500K and 300K.
Progress is rewarding.

Being a better YOU today than YOU yesterday is very addicting.

Take away?

Reward yourself for small wins.

Your first $100.
Your first $1000
Your first $10000.

And so on...

And one day you'll look back and say, "Gee, I remember when I thought $50K was a lot of money."
