How Do You Set Your Financial Goals and Stick To Them? (Or any goal for that matter..)

Hi all,

I've started using spreadsheets/excel a lot, to track my budget, income and expenses etc.
Yes, it may sound very basic, but I've dismissed for a lot of years, but now I realize the power of it!

Anyways, I am currently setting up a 10 year plan for my financial goals, and was curious to see how you guys maybe are doing the same?
Actually I am just curious about how you guys set goals in general? Do you just keep the goal in your mind or do you get it down on paper, maybe in excel etc?

I use (and founded) GoalSumo: Supercharge Goal Achievement and Turn Your Big Dreams into Reality which is based on the 1/5/10 Strategy.

It's still pretty raw and beta, but good enough to use.
