I routinely theorize about differnent industries I would like to investigate further regarding opening stores, wholesaling, product development, creation, consulting etc.
Question is how do you know for example how much a given company is making?
Lets say I want to open an ecommerce store and sell Refractometers for a living......
Only thing I can really do to investigate other stores to see the other top stores in the industry that I want do someday surpass in earnings is check the traffic for that site and estimate conversion rate and average sale.
there must be a better way to search for a product you want to sell, find the stores that already sell that product(s), and check how much they gross/net annually to see if there is enough sales to justify going any further.
How do you check an industry, or specific company to see how much money they make if they are something other than a huge public corporation?
