Hello Fellow Fastlaners.

My name is Fannar Ingi Steingrimsson and I am new to the Fastlane forum, and a aspiring entrepreneur. I just recently finished reading the Millionaire Fastlane which was a a great read and a fantastic motivator to start pushing for my entrepreneurial journey with some serious effort. As I said I am born and raised in Iceland but went to college in America on a golf scholarship after being 3 times junior national champion here in Iceland. My dream has always been to get the green card and live in the USA.

As of now I have a job offering in the USA as a personal trainer for golfers/residence at a high end county club. However the content of this threat are my entrepreneurial dreams. My father has a "Fastline Buisness" here in Iceland in the cutting tool industry. His company does very well and he appears to have used all of the fastlane principles without reading or studying many books on entrepreneurship.

My problem within the company is our communication. my father doesn't trust me and does not respect my interest in entrepreneurship any. It sometimes appears as he is afraid that I will one day, I will do better than him and therefore he forces "Script speak" down on me, which does not quite make sense giving his strategies in business. This has led to a great frustration in me and my biggest dream is to tell my dad one day "I told you dad,.. maybe my strategies weren't so stupid after all". I know these are weak reasonings to start a business and therefore I joined here so I can connect with likeminded individuals.

There are great opportunities within my dads company and my biggest challenge is to make an entry without completely destroying our relationship, if that means tolerating his stubbornness I guess it would be worth it in the end.

This cutting tool business is something I will continue to write about as I study it more, my fathers company and which angles I can play to contribute to the company. this business is only a part, I have golf expertise and fitness expertise that surpass the ordinary. My goal is to combine them and make a brand out of the two. Helping golfers to hit the ball further by getting in shape or swinging faster. I believe this is a good market since golfers are usually people that can pay for the service provided. while I will be working at the country club I will be doing my masters in kinesiology, after reading the millionaire Fastlane I have trained myself to look for openings, I look forward to the studies in kinesiology, as I believe it can be a good foundation into anti-aging biology and movement protocols. It appears to me as the anti-aging books, and channels are getting a lot of pubicity-, now that we live on the information age and peope have more time and measn to care for those aspcts.

Been a long and chaotic post. Hopefully I will get some guidance and companionship on this forum to fuel my dream and become who I set to become!
