Hello everyone.
I'm a 32 years old guy from germany and new to this forum. I spent all of these last years in the Slowlane and more or less floated through life.
After school I started a two years training in a bank. This should have been the first warning, that a job would not enable a life above the average or even an extraordinary life. Although I really would have liked to quit the training, I completed it successfully and quit the job directly after the training. But this led only to a worse situation
as I had to take lousy jobs, for example in a printing press early in the morning or in a call center. But I needed the jobs to finance my study of computer science. After the study I gave a few personal development theories and gurus a try and I made slow progress. Today I live an average life in the Slowlane.
It was in november of the last year when I came across "The Millionaire Fastlane ". It took me only a few days to read the book but it took me several weeks to accept the truth that I am on the wrong road. Currently I discipline myself to see the world through "Fastlane Glasses" and to look for opportunities and problems around me. My job as a project manager for internet projects offers me some opportunities to gather more specialized knowledge. And most of all I have to support my little family. This is also the main reason for me to hit the Fastlane: I want to spent my time with my family and to see my little son grow up so that we all can have a great life.
