I don't want to talk too much about myself, maybe I will when it's the right time but now I just want to talk about this forum, MJ's book and business in general.
First of all, I want to say that this forum is a prime example of how you should you market your book. Users of this forum can decorate their accounts with "Read The Millionaire Fastlane ". It's like a status symbol and as a result, MJ is advertising his product without having to promote it himself, which should be the goal of every entrepreneur.
In his book, MJ criticizes the "Do what you love" mantra. In my opinion, most of the time, "Do what you love" is the translation for "Do what's easy". People often do what they love because it's the easiest thing to do. It's easy to make youtube videos. It's easy to produce music. It's easy to write blogs.
Consumers are tired of people who want to sell them something that they could produce themselves. Consumers want something that is difficult to produce. How often do you see people write "Ay yo, check out my youtube channel!" or "Ay yo, check out my music!"? Too often. The problem is that they are selfish. They don't provide value. That's what MJ is talking about. You have to be unselfish if you want to make money.
I'm in my 20s now. Something happened in my past, which is too personal to talk about in this forum, that made me realize how precious time is. Time is more valuable than diamonds. So, I think, we should spend our time providing as much value as possible to other people.
