Has any company ever done a global referral program like this before?

The eyewear brand Jamie Looks just launched a very generous global referral program where you receive 15€ for signing up to their newsletter. By inviting your friends to do the same, you receive exponentially growing vouchers and a pair of free sunglasses if you refer 50 friends.

Do you have any other examples of brands that have done similar growth hacking referral programs to promote upcoming releases? NOTE: ON A GLOBAL SCALE, not only in single markets!

THANKS!

Yep. PayPal.

Litterally paid customers real cash to sign up. Look it up. HUGE gamble which put them where they are today.

Horrible first post.

If this isn't spam, it definitely looks like spam.

You're not getting 15 euros for signing up. You're getting a coupon.

Also, judging by the fact that nobody has heard of this company, and it's fairly new, odds are that you own the company or are working for it. This isn't something that you just "stumbled" on.

So to summarize: shit post. Creative spam, but still trash.

Must be a coincidence, the guy running the site is also from Denmark.

"By inviting your friends to do the same, you receive exponentially growing vouchers and a pair of free sunglasses if you refer 50 friends." - Do you actually expect anyone to refer 50 people to receive a pair of cheap sunglasses for free? LOL! What are you on? You do realize affiliate guys can make $1000-$2000 off a referral of 50 sales for sunglasses in the low $200 range.

"Do you have any other examples of brands that have done similar growth hacking referral programs to promote upcoming releases? NOTE: ON A GLOBAL SCALE, not only in single markets!" - Shouldn't you have done this research beforehand instead of us doing it for you and spoonfeeding?
