Hi, my name is Mert which is pronounced similar to Matt, but there's a "r" before "t". Should I find a nickname or go with my own name? I want feedback from native English speakers. Would it be really hard to remember it?

It wouldn't be hard to remember. Just be aware that people will pronounce your name like "Murt".

Having an easily pronouncable name that is different from the norm is a good thing in branding.

As long as you are ok with how UK,US,Can, NZ and Aus will say Mert rhyming with Murt rather than Matt as Andy mentions don't worry about it.

In fact almost any foreign (to whatever country anyone is in) company is modified by the population to fit their natural speech pattern.

Don't bore yourself, but here are 100 foreign (to UK) cpomapnies that we pronounce differently from the actual pronounciation. I had no idea that we don't even pronounce BMW correctly here, it's pronounced BMV in Germany (Or Deutschland as they like to call it)
