Find out what Jack Ma's view is on creating value and how it relates to making money
(Transcript of interview between Charlie Rose and Jack Ma. This portion of the interview starts at minute 7:22.)

Charlie Rose: "Now that you have a very, very, prosperous business, Enormous wealth, fame. What is
it you want to do?

Jack Ma: "I think the rest of my life is spent more time encouraging entrpreneurship
I wanna."

Charlie Rose:
"It is your religion and your bible.." (Something Ma said earlier in the interview.)

Jack Ma: "I want to help more SME's (Small to medium sized enterprises) and entrepreneurs and go back to school because I was trained to be a school teacher and I have been doing business for 15 years and

I think most of the things I learned in school's was not correct. I want to go back and share with them."

Charlie Rose: "What didn't you learn that you wish you had learned? In
other words.

What is it they are teachin us that is not correct?

What is correct that they're not teaching us?"

Jack Ma: "Well the MBA Schools, A lot of business schools. They teach a
lot of skills about making money on wrong business.

I want to tell people if that if you want to run business you need to run value first.

To serve the others. Help the others. That's the key!

Because one thing We believe. If you think about making money and this eye is U.S. Dollar and this
eye is the Japanese yen and we talk all about Hong Kong Dollars.

Nobody want to make friends with these people and you will never make money.

To think about how can I help people. Create Value for the others.

And then you will get the money.

This is how we succeed in China and this is why you call us or you ask.. What is
the core competency the company.

I try and make the young people believe that.

It's like the religion of the company.

The People say ,"Jack your company's crazy, how can you do that?"

But, this is the way, we run the business. And I think this is the way of the
21st Century."
