This is an idea I worked quite a lot on the past year, but i can't get it off the ground for various reasons.
If anyone wants the idea, feel free to take it, I can also help with some of my experience if you want to.
If you can somehow show most internet users which brands are trash, unethical, use scummy marketing, you can now be a middle man that leads the internet in a better direction. I feel like this idea is terribly dangerous in the wrong hands, but can have incredible positive impact too.
My way of doing this was with a browser extension that gives a visual que in item listing, so you know to avoid that item based on the brand owner's policies.
The business model would to allow brands to be listed or highlighted as a "good" (not evil) brand , basicly paid ads like google does, but highly curated, and while actively shopping, and not just thinking about shopping in the future.
I thought it was a very cool idea, and hope someone with more ability than me can use it.
