There are plenty of posts here about how to start with no money or how to go Fastlane.

There are still too many people asking this and then doing nothing

Here is a good video to watch on top of reading the GOLD posts here.

Before you can have a Fastlane business you need to have a Fastlane mindset.

Until then - quit bitching things are unfair, or others are lucky, or I hate my job and put the work in toward changing your life.

Totally agree, you have to get started moving in the right direction, no matter how little. Sometimes people are too "idealistic" in the sense that they know what to do...they just never do it.

Tim, this is a great point. I hear from time to time... "why does everyone just talk about mindset when I asked about making money?"

Well.... because it's the foundation from which your skills and methods hand value over in exchange for currency.

Most of the time, you hear that from people that are just looking for the next escape and to them, entrepreneurship is the escape from their crappy job in their minds. We know that is not true, it's the opposite, right? You work harder, for a lot less, and a lot more risk, a lot less certainty, and more challenges day to day.

No one can repeat someone else's success, therefore there is no instruction set available because too many factors are constantly changing (time, industry, economy, opportunity, etc)

I like to encourage anyone who asks this to start with taking the time to work on themselves, and in that process they will start to discover their version of success. Even if it doesnt start right away, and it won't since this isn't a quick fix for their life's problems.

Once they know how they want to be successful and why.... it's a matter of gaining those skills and executing, and it's now an adventure for them to achieve.

Some will make it, most won't, but it's ultimately up to the individual to find their own path, because that's what will matter most to them on their worst days.

Great topic!

Great point! a lot of people don't have the right mindset because they have set their mind in a certain way that prevents them from moving forward. We are malleable. Our brains can change if we want them to.

I've been thinking on this a lot lately and people who are successful - by the typical definition anyway - and a good portion of them have followed things that piqued their interest. We should strive to become good at things that we are drawn to. This doesn't mean that someone won't have to do work they don't like on the journey to doing something they do.

Arnold - The Governator - worked construction while working out 5 hours daily, while taking acting classes daily.

Note: I'm just adding to the OP's point, all the previous posts and mine say more or less the same thing but I formulate it in a way that I would have liked to read myself a few years ago, when I did all the mistake I'm pointing out here.

I posit the main issue is precisely with the word "mindset."
It's sort of a meta-thing.

It's easy to get tripped up over having the mindset. How? By consuming self-development porn. You read a ton of books, watch motivational videos, hell, you read 3 times The Millionaire Fastlane & Unscripted , and after that, you think you have the mindset.

Shit I'm going to go boderline into zen philosophy, but it's like the Tao. You can read and talk all you want, all day long about it, doesn't mean you really know what it is. The more you try to define it, the less it means you understand it.

It's like what Morpheus said to Neo. You don't have the right mindset when you believe you have it, but when you know it. And really having the mindset translates directly into taking action.

Just knowing isn't enough.
That 's the crux of the problem.
Most people think they have the mindset because they know what it consists of, but they just know it.
You can recognise them by the blog article they write or or YouTube videos they shoot to give aspirational advice to whomever.
You could recite from memory any self-development book, doesn't mean shit.
In that sense, you don't need any book, video, for that matter, real entrepreneurs and free spirits just do whatever the F*ck they want to do.

I recommend checking out this thread What if you already know enough.

Have an awesome day, you who read this.
