I always thought Steve was the biggest Geek from his APS commercials and interviews. He's actually kind of funny. The Dan Patrick show was comparing his voice to Napoleon Dynamite. It was pretty close.

I actually ran into Steve Nash on an elevator at a downtown San Antonio hotel during an NBA basketball playoff series against the Spurs many years ago. My wife and I were taking the elevator down to make our way to the Alamodome for the game. The elevator doors opened, and there he was all by himself. He held the door open for both my wife and me. We were there to root for the Spurs, but I wished him luck, etc., and told him he was one of the best players to watch in the league. He thanked me, we shook hands, and we went our separate ways. Who knew a couple years later, he'd end up winning the NBA's MVP award.
