As many of us have started our own online communities/forums, we all know how difficult it is to attain traffic to a site that has just been started. Whether our sole purpose is for hobby, monetization or whatever it may be, it isn't possible to lead with out example. Most of us have come across services such as "forum boosters" etc. and we all would like to overlook the idea of paying for these services if we could.
Proposal: Start a section only for Fast Lane members who satisfy a minimum post requirement. This section will give access to a resource of Fast Lane members who are voluntarily willing to contribute to member projects via forums postings etc. We may use this network of membership to help each other out in the efforts of getting our communities wet. No one want's to sign up to a community where they will be talking to themselves. As members, let's make sure we can change our statistics in a positive direction.
Now I understand we all don't partake in the same hobbies, activities, beliefs or ideologies, but as a member of this proposed section we can try to at least do some research on the given situation for the efforts stated. The idea for this proposal is not to try to force or implement a fake core group of members, but to at least fake the funk until it may really happen for some of us.
If anyone else can see this of benefit for the community post up so we can bring this up to mj.
