Hi everyone,
I read the books only to realize I'd had it all wrong. I've been running a film and music production company since 2009 (with all super hipster attributes needed). I followed my passion and ended up with the ultimate Slowlane business. It's been fun, plenty of "cool" clients, but right now I'm at a crossroads...
It's interesting reading the books as a Swede. We have such a strong social safety net that it really isn't dangerous to try being an entrepreneur here. The flip side is that you never get a knife to your throat when you take a risk, which probably means a lot of us end up getting lazy.
I've got four kids and a lovely wife, and I feel genuinely fortunate. I love playing music and hiking. Life is, for the most part, good. And honestly, the biggest lesson I'm taking from these books isn't even about my own business — it's how I guide my kids out into the world. That alone makes them worth the read. Thanks MJ!
